Ficus Palmeri begins to form a beautiful caudex even at a young age. I have two forms of this plant. This more common form has a fat caudiciform trunk. The other forms a caudex of multiple trunks.

These are grown from cuttings, but will produce the same caudex. I have included a picture of my stock/seed plant for visual reference of a muture plant. My stock plant is about about 20+ years old
These should be grown in light shade and like lots of water. I keep my potted ficus on saucers to provide more water. Keep it in a small pot to form the caudiciform. Otherwise it grows more tree like.
